I bought one of the plastic screw in anchors for docks, and put the pvc on it long enough that in our usual boating spot i can screw it in from the back of the boat and tie off. anchor off the bow, and this in the rear with a bungie tie off works great!. Anchor patch tie off for inflatable boat. made of pvc plastic. color is gray. anchor tie off glue on patch size l:24cm(9 1/2 in) x w:12.5 cm (5 in) x h:6 cm (2.5 in).. Advantages include it's fast, you can glide in and tie up without bumping into the treetop and spooking fish, it will hold your boat a few feet away where you can easily fish all around the tree, you can tie to underwater trees and it's cheap, maybe 5$ if you have to buy everything. 1) cut a length of 3/4" pvc to whatever length you want..

I back my boat into the boat slip so the swimstep is sitting one easy step off the dock. makes it easy to cover/uncover. but how you set these up will depend on your situation. basically you tie your rope on the rear cleat, route it thru the pipe the carabiner hooked on your transom ring (knot it), then back thru the pipe & tie it off at the cleat..
