If you store your jon boat to bass boat creation outdoors, you need a good cover and bracing to keep water, leaves and other debris out of your boat. this is not my cover support idea, but i'm. Mine was close to this. 2in pvc pipe from back to front. supports at the seat positions (no seats in boat used) had one support between the windshields. put tennis balls over trolling motor prop to protect the cover. it was eqsy out easy in thow on cover and done, less than 5 minutes.. Yes it is quickcrete. i drilled a hole in pvc in bottom of coffee can and ran a piece of re bar through to keep from slipping out of concrete. i used 3/4" pvc in can i then put a 1" inside 3/4. while under cover betty raised it up till tight and marked it then i drilled a hole for a bolt..
Boat cover support frame (1″ pvc) november 13, 2008 – by jim 2 for those who are not able to keep their boat indoors during inclimate weather or the off-season, here’s a boat cover support frame idea made from pvc piping.. Cut the pvc pipe at mid-span of the bow and stern sections and insert a 3-way connector in each. make similar cuts at mid-span of the intermediate sections and insert 4-way connectors. cut lengths of pvc pipe to fit between the frame sections from bow to stern as a center support for the cover.. Install the ridge support by sliding one vertical support at a time into the elbow fittings on the ends of the ridge support. make sure the stands for the vertical supports are perpendicular to the ridge support. set the frame into your boat and make any adjustments necessary..
