Re: cedar for use as boat flooring? western red cedar is for planking. it's light in weight, very soft and easy to work, and durable. many a canoe is stripped withe wrc. you're thinking of "aromatic cedar" for closets, it comes from the eastern u.s. somewhere. you can use wrc for a deck if it's been glassed.. The cedar decking panels are built of the finest cedar, which is known for being very dense and long-lasting as well as extremely smooth. for that natural look. naturally weather resistant, cedar has been the traditional dock decking choice for years.. These cedar boards have straight, tight grain. there can be broad color variations within even the same western red cedar board, unlike alaskan yellow or nogal boards. this is the same cedar we use for bead-and-cove strips in strip-planked kayaks and hybrid decks. finish: s4s (surfaced 4 sides).

Used primarily for caulking teak boat decks, teak decking caulk is a thixotropic material that does not sag during cure, and has excellent temperature stability and chemical resistance once fully cured. because the sealant is neutral cure, it is non-corrosive to all substrates. available in black, white, and gray..
